From 2016 to 2019, Art Garfunkel was on international tours in various countries, including England, the Netherlands, and Germany, captivating over 200,000 fans.
In 2017, his autobiography “What Is It All but Luminous – Notes from an Underground Man” was published, offering insights into his life and career. The book was also released in German.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many live events in 2020 and 2021 were postponed, which affected Art Garfunkel’s tour plans. Since 2022, there have been individual performances by Art Garfunkel along with his son, Art Garfunkel Jr., in the USA.
In 2021, Art Garfunkel Jr. released his debut album “Wie Du – Hommage an meinen Vater” (Like You – Tribute to My Father), which came out as a gift for his 80th birthday. On the debut album “Wie Du,” Art Garfunkel Jr. presented his interpretations of the classics and unforgettable global hits with which his father made music history – together with a veritable “Who’s Who” of the German Schlager and show world! Some of these songs were performed together by Art Garfunkel Jr. and his father.
The second edition of the album “Wie Du – Hommage an meinen Vater” by Art Garfunkel Jr. was released in 2022. It includes titles with which his father had already celebrated tremendous success, as well as titles and hits that have accompanied both Art Senior and Art Jr. over the decades. The album features four new duets with Ella Endlich (“Was für dich in den Sternen steht (Keep the Customer Satisfied)”), Francine Jordi (“Bye, Bye Love”), Tanja Lasch (“Ich leb allein auf einer Insel (I Am A Rock)”), and The Golden Voices Of Gospel (“Wenn es Nacht wird in Harlem (When a Man Loves a Woman)”), as well as unique solo versions by Art Garfunkel Jr. and songs performed together by father and son.
In 2023, Art Garfunkel Jr. released his second studio album “Evergreen.” The album includes numerous evergreens such as “Fremde in der Nacht” (“Strangers In The Night”), “Blue Bayou,” “San Francisco,” “Mr. Tambourine Man,” “Weit so weit” (“Can’t Help Falling In Love”), and “Sag mir, wo die Blumen sind.” There are a total of 12 great titles on the album – for listening and enjoying! Four of these songs on the album feature Art Jr. and Art Senior. Like his father, Art Garfunkel Senior, whose music has inspired generations and is seen as a defining figure in the history of pop music, the new album by Art Garfunkel Jr. is once again a masterpiece for Garfunkel’s fans.
Currently, Art Garfunkel is dedicating himself to his family, various social projects, and once again to music with all his heart.
On November 8, 2024, Art Garfunkel Sr., together with his son Art Garfunkel Jr., will release a new studio album titled Father and Son on the international market.
