Music legend Art Garfunkel has spoken publicly for the first time about his decades-long experience with psoriasis – a chronic skin condition affecting millions of people worldwide. In a new campaign with pharmaceutical company Sun Pharma, he aims to encourage those affected and raise awareness of the physical and emotional challenges associated with the disease. For many years, Garfunkel struggled with the symptoms of psoriasis. Despite trying various treatments, long-term relief remained out of reach. It was only through a new medication from Sun Pharma that he finally found lasting relief. The improvement in his skin not only boosted his self-confidence but also allowed him to return to public appearances with greater ease and joy.
His decision to partner with Sun Pharma came naturally: through the campaign “I LUV YA for The Long Haul,” Art Garfunkel wants to encourage others living with psoriasis to seek help, speak openly about their condition, and not hide away. He especially highlights the importance of his family – his wife Kim and their two sons gave him strength and support during difficult times. With his openness, Art Garfunkel hopes to show that psoriasis is more than just a skin condition – but with the right support, effective treatment options, and a strong personal network, everyday life can become much more manageable. His message: no one should have to face this disease alone.
In November 2024, Art Garfunkel and his son, Art Garfunkel Jr., released their joint album Father and Son. In March 2025, a special remix of the song I Won’t Let You Down (Jojo Remix) was released as a single from the album. The remix has quickly gained popularity and is currently climbing the charts. The song is available on various streaming platforms, including Spotify and YouTube.
